SDLG LG953 Wheel Loader

The SDLG LG953 Wheel Loader is equipped with the WD10G220E21, a 9.726-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine. Its 162 kW rated output is enough for regular 5-ton loading work, while the peak torque comes in the 1,400–1,600 rpm range.

This low-to-mid speed torque is useful when the loader is pushing into a pile or climbing out with a loaded bucket. The engine does not need to run at maximum speed all the time to get useful pulling force.

The transmission uses a planetary power-shift design with two forward gears and one reverse gear. It is a relatively simple setup compared with newer electronically controlled loaders, which can be an advantage for customers who prefer equipment that local mechanics can work on without complicated diagnostic equipment.

The machine has a 3 m³ bucket and a rated load of 5,000 kg. The maximum breakout force is listed at 165 kN, while maximum traction force reaches 148 kN based on the supplied vehicle configuration.

The maximum dumping height is 3,050 mm, with a dumping distance of 1,100 mm at the stated working condition. This makes the loader suitable for feeding material into trucks, stockpiles and hoppers.

The bucket dumping angle is 45°, which allows the material to leave the bucket without requiring excessive movement from the machine.

The articulated steering system allows the front and rear sections of the machine to move around the center joint. The steering angle reaches 35° to both the left and right sides.

The minimum turning radius listed for this machine is 6,700 mm at the outside of the rear wheel. For material yards and construction sites, this matters because the loader often has to make short turns between the stockpile and the loading point.

For braking, the machine uses an air-over-oil four-wheel disc brake system for service braking and a caliper disc brake for parking.

The SDLG LG953 Wheel Loader uses an open-circuit, dual-pump confluence hydraulic system with mechanical control. The hydraulic oil capacity of this particular machine is 220L. The system operates the boom and bucket during loading, lifting and dumping cycles.
