Vehicle Overview
A 4X2 tractor has one steering axle and one drive axle. Compared with a 6X4, that layout saves roughly the weight of a second drive axle and the tyre and fuel that goes with it. On sealed roads with a normal semi-trailer behind it, the lighter two-axle unit is usually the cheaper truck to run over a year.
This unit pairs a Weichai diesel engine meeting China VI with a HW25716XSTL manual gearbox. Fuel capacity is 700 L, the fifth wheel is a 50# coupling, and the truck rides on 12R22.5 tyres. The rear axle carries air springs instead of a steel spring pack.
The vehicle reference dimensions are 6,250 × 2,600 × 3,370 mm. If you are comparing this tractor truck for sale against others in the same weight class, the difference almost always comes down to three things: the rear axle, the suspension and the fifth wheel. All three are recorded in the table above.
If you need to check the unit against a bridge or tunnel height restriction on your route, tell us the limit and we will confirm the measurement with the roof deflector fitted.
Walk-around, photographed in our yard
Four sides of the same unit, so you can compare the condition against the specification sheet.

Front

Side
Two-axle layout on 12R22.5 tyres. Air springs sit under the drive axle at the rear.

Rear
MCY13 single reduction rear axle and the 50# fifth wheel. Fuel tank capacity is 700 L.
Cab and Driver Environment
The cab is the TH7-G in its classic version, finished in New Man White. It is the cab that sits at the top of the Sinotruk HOWO tractor range and the one most drivers in this class ask for by name.
A roof deflector is fitted together with side air deflectors. On a tractor unit these parts matter more than they do on a rigid truck: the deflector guides air over the step between the cab roof and the trailer, and the side panels close off the gap beside the cab. That is where a large share of a combination's aerodynamic drag is generated, so the fittings pay for themselves on long motorway legs.
Because the truck is a stock unit, the cab interior is the one it was built with. We photograph the dashboard, seats and bunk as part of the pre-shipment set so there are no surprises on arrival.

Engine and Drivetrain
The engine is a Weichai diesel unit. A stock vehicle keeps the engine that was fitted to it at the factory, so rather than quoting a model we do not hold, we send the engine number and a cold-start video before the unit leaves the yard.
Drive goes through the HW25716XSTL manual gearbox. In most export markets a manual is still the default choice for road tractors, and for practical reasons: the driver can hold a gear on a long climb instead of waiting for an automated box to decide, the unit is cheaper to buy, and almost any heavy-truck workshop can open one up.
The exhaust is routed to the front. That keeps the outlet forward of the trailer and clear of the fifth wheel area, which is the layout normally specified for tractor units rather than for tippers.

Front and Rear Axles
The front axle is a VPD71DS. The rear is an MCY13 single reduction axle, driving through 12R22.5 tyres. Domestic steering gear is fitted.
Single reduction means the final drive uses one gear set rather than adding a hub reduction at each wheel end. For a truck that spends its life at steady highway speed, that is the sensible choice: fewer components to service, and the gearing runs cooler on a long run. Hub reduction axles are the right answer for site work and steep unsealed gradients, which is not what this unit is built for.
Because the truck has one drive axle, traction is lower than a 6X4 when the surface is loose or the trailer is very heavy on a steep ramp. That is the trade-off you accept in return for the lower tare weight and lower fuel burn of the two-axle layout.
Suspension and Ride Height
The suspension is parabolic leaf springs at the front and air at the rear. This combination is widely used on export tractors: the steering axle stays simple and cheap to repair, while the air bags under the drive axle carry the trailer load.
Air on the drive axle keeps the coupling height steady as the load changes. That matters in day-to-day work - when you drop a loaded trailer and pick up an empty one, the fifth wheel height stays where the trailer expects it instead of rising as the springs unload. Shunting becomes easier and the kingpin wears more slowly.
A softer rear end also passes less shock into the trailer and its cargo, which is why air suspension is normally specified whenever the load is fragile or high value. If your operation is purely heavy bulk on poor roads, a steel-sprung 6X4 will suit you better and we will tell you that rather than sell you this one.
Fuel Tank, Tyres and Fifth Wheel
The fuel tank holds 700 L. On a tractor unit that is the figure that sets your practical range between stops, so match it against the distance between fuelling points on your own routes before you commit.
Tyres are 12R22.5, the common radial size in this weight class. Because it is so widely used, replacements are available almost anywhere along a normal long-haul corridor, which is not true of every size on the market.
The fifth wheel is a 50# coupling. Before you order, check the kingpin size on the trailers you intend to pull; if your fleet runs a different coupling, tell us and we will confirm straight away whether this unit can be matched to it.

Where This 4X2 Tractor Makes Sense
This is a tractor truck for sale for operators who stay on sealed roads. Container drayage, port work, regional distribution with box or curtain-side trailers, and bulk tanker legs all suit the two-axle layout.
It is not the right machine for construction-site haulage, mining, or steep unsealed gradients. For that work you want a 6X4 with hub-reduction axles and heavier springs, and we will say so if you tell us that is the route the truck will run.
Where fuel and driver cost dominate the operating budget, the lighter 4X2 is normally the cheaper truck to own - provided the routes and the loads actually suit it. The combination of China VI emissions and air suspension is also what many buyers need to satisfy local import requirements and to work with modern trailers.
What We Check Before Shipping
Because this is a stock unit rather than a new build, the inspection matters more than the specification sheet. Before dispatch we start the engine from cold, check for stored fault codes, and work through the brakes, lamps, tyres, steering and the air suspension.
We photograph and film the areas buyers normally cannot see on a listing: chassis rails, the rear of the cab, the fifth wheel, the engine bay and the underside. Those images go to you before the balance is due.
Anything we find is reported before shipment. If a fault cannot be put right in our yard we tell you about it rather than load the truck and let you discover it at the destination port.
Packing, Shipping and Documentation
A tractor unit of this size is normally moved by RoRo or on a flat rack, depending on the route and the shipping line. We will quote the option that suits your destination port and confirm the loading method before the booking is made.
We prepare the export documents on our side: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Where a destination country asks for an additional certificate or a pre-shipment inspection, tell us at quotation stage so it can be arranged in time.
We also keep the loading photographs. They are useful if a claim ever arises, and they let you verify that the unit that left our yard is the one that arrived.
Why Buyers Work With Huayuanda
Shandong Huayuanda Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. manufactures and exports semi-trailers and trucks from Liangshan, Shandong. This unit is standing in our own yard, so you are dealing with the seller directly rather than through a broker who has never seen the vehicle.
We export to Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East, and we can supply spare parts for the HOWO range alongside the vehicle. Tell us the parts you normally stock and we will quote them with the truck.
If you want to move on this tractor truck for sale, send us your port and your trailer type and we will come back with a quotation and the current inspection photos. Email Huayuanda2024@163.com, WhatsApp +86 133 7124 2881, or call +86 198 6119 9628 / +86 153 7652 0075.
