The operation of a truck is fundamentally based on the functioning of an internal combustion engine. Taking a diesel engine as an example: when the driver starts the engine, the battery supplies power to the starter motor; the starter motor then rotates the engine's crankshaft, bringing the engine into its initial operating state. At this point, diesel fuel is injected into the cylinders via the fuel injectors; upon mixing with the high-temperature, high-pressure air, it combusts rapidly, generating a powerful explosive force that drives the pistons downward and, in turn, causes the crankshaft to rotate.
The rotational motion of the crankshaft is transmitted through the drivetrain to the drive axle, causing the wheels to turn and propelling the vehicle forward. As the vehicle travels, the driver regulates the engine's fuel supply-and consequently its rotational speed and power output-by controlling the accelerator pedal, thereby meeting the demands of various driving conditions. Simultaneously, the driver utilizes components such as the clutch and transmission to execute operations such as shifting gears, starting from a standstill, and bringing the vehicle to a halt.
